In addition, the major volcano and cloud forest sites of Costa Rica are only a couple of hours inland of Playa Grande.
There are hundreds of available activities, including fishing, horseback riding, zip lining, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, sunset sailing trips and more. The nearby population centers provide convenient access to shopping, restaurants, cafés and other services, and it's a quick 45 minute drive to Liberia international airport.
